I didn't properly get the pin through on my brand new chain, and I need to redo.
Problem is halfords don't have a ten speed pin or split link.
Can I use a nine speed? I've got a new pin and a connector link, would either of these do?
It's a brand new xt group so I don't want to shag any of the parts.
I can wait till tomorrow, but just finished the build so want to go for a spin.
Mind you I don't really want to get it wet or muddy so...

Okay.
I will.
The fact it is pissing down also helps the decision.

Use a 9-speed powerlink, I've done it on all my 10-speed chains and no probs so far

Same. Broke a chain while away in Tenerife. Only had 9 speed powerlink. Stuck in in there and forgot about it. Been fine for last 500k.
