Been out on the push rod today and when in the smallest cog on my cranks when going uphill my chain wraps is self up on itself and stops me pedaling could my rings be worn how do I tell

Look at the profile of the teeth, are they hooked?

Chain is new the chain ring teeth look really big bigger than middle and outer
