Just took off my bash guard and I'm struggling to find a set that will fit. Do I need specific bolts for singlespeed?

You need single-ring specific nuts and bolts or some washers to replace the thickness of the bashguard.

You need half-height ones chainring bolts.
You can get them from ebay, or CTBM, or your LBS probably has them.
Or, you can take some regular height ones and cut them down with a hacksaw (royal PITA).
Or you can add washers (gets you out riding but looks a bit naff).
