SLX cranks
FSA DH unramped chainring

10 spd mech/cassette/chain
chain keeps coming off the chainring and onto the outside of the bolt tabs
when i back pedal teh chain jumps down 2-3 cogs
where do i start? what may be SUDDENLY causing this - its been fine for 3-400 miles
Bent teeth on the chainring, if not obvious then bent spider on the crank.
How would the spider bend? it's ok when pedalling normally but comes off on really rough stuff
What takisawa2 says - bent teeth? Or knackered chain? Or rear mech spring knackered? Or a combination.
Freewheel not freewheeling very well?
ooh never thought about that - or jockey wheels?
Freewheel, stiff again link or stiff jockey wheels?
Back pedal slyly by hand...
Sorted - bent chain links and chain too short hence rear mech hooking up on the cassette - before the bend in the link the cage JUST missed the teeth on the 36t, but after JUST caught it!
