Any using it off road? Seems more versatile than the modern soft dry bag thingies but I don't fancy it snapping in the middle of the Cairngorm's. Unlikely to approach the 10kg weight limit.

Not really used it off road, but it can move on the seatpost if you have a bit of weight in it and your moving the bike around a lot. Brilliant for my commute and long days though.

Again only use it on road but it looks quite a tough bit of kit, the actual rack bit is quite strong, never had any problems on road, carradice used to have a very good rep for dealing with any faults

I've used mine for decades commuting and off-road on many weekend trips with a Camper longflap.

No problems. Support the bag with a bungee cord from the saddle rails if it's swaying.

I don't mind adding an extra strap for support. Now, who will sell me one cheap?
