heading of on a wee touring weekend on Sat and will be using my Carradice SQR slim. It's never had a good soaking but is likely to this weekend. It's their 'cotton duck' type material. Wondering how waterproof they are ? should I use a drybag inside it ?

cheers

I'd still use a drybag, but the material is waterproof (Camper Longflap user here). Mine served as a mudguard for a LeJog and never let in any water at all. I'd just be concerned at opening it when it's raining.

In my experience it comes in around the flap. The drawstring material doesn't seem waterproof but the rest of it's pretty good.
