[Closed] Carbon/aluminium dilema

Just as I was about to hit 'Buy' for a Planet X Carbon Pro SL I started having second thoughts.
The idea was that it was to be a frame for my lad, then later a training frame for me.
Now I'm wondering if a decent aluminium frame would be better than a carbon budget one.
It's for my lad to race on, and the second choice was a BMC aluminium frame.

Must admit those BMC frames look very nice, they have carbon fork and seatstays too don't they (roadracer frame)
