Hello got a Kona dawg and looking to drop some weight. Interested in a carbon seatpost but the post on the Kona is a 30mm and im struggleing to get a reasonably priced fit? Any ideas hive mind?

27.2 and a shim. Be careful though, many carbon posts are just a wrap on an alu one and aren't light.

Never used a shim before. They any good?

They're fine. Used to use USE ones. Best bet if your frame is an odd size.

Yep shes a bit on the portley side, but shes my baby and I love her!
