Never bothered me, if they can take an Elite rider sprinting at 2500 Watts on them, they can take a bit of lateral movement on a bike rack.

I think aluminium is at the most risk of being crushed. I speak as someone who used to own one of those old Kleins. You could feel it flexing under your fingers!

I was thinking more about the clamp squashing.

you'll crush any thin walled frame if you are not careful. CF probably has the most elastic response tbh and will tolerate a bit of squeeze but still pop back.

Just be careful.

I was worried when I got my C456 and picked up a front fork mount rack instead but tbh looking back I didn't need to worry. It's tough as old boots but it's not a thin road frame.

I've had my Canyon Aeroad on a friends a couple of times. No problems at all
