Hi all,

Recently got myself a new carbon Mtb, and this weekend got myself a dropper post. What's the best carbon grease to get as I believe I shouldn't use my normal stuff?

Thanks in advance

Some manufacturers put a little sachet in with the bike.

As above though I just bought the taxc (name something like that) carbon assembly paste from CRC.

A carbon virgin here too! ๐Ÿ™‚

It's not grease it's Friction paste, exactly the opposite really. Normal bike grease is used on all my carbon frames where grease is needed

Mikewsmith I assume you've never seen any adverse effects from using standard grease on CF? I recently put some Morgan Blue Campa grease on my frame and then read all these horror stories about reactions with the resin so removed it but I bet you've never seen any issues, right?

On a Google search there a are a couple of good, old threads on here about grease* and carbon "issues".

*As Mike said, this thread is really about carbon assembly paste not grease. Just got some assembly paste from CRC as it happens.
