I put all my bikes on the roof when driving about, however i'm a little unsure about putting my carbon frame on. I have done a few times but the thing is when you clamp the frame up, you can actually see the carbon flex?

Should I just reort to taking wheels off, and seats down for that bike then?

I wouldn't put anything carbon on the roof, it will fail catastrophically & you will die the next time you get on your bike.
Possibly.

I noticed my steel frame flex when putting it up and clamping it yesterday, so god knows what carbon does.

It would be interesting in high side winds with the stress being placed on it from the clamp.

Will, give Matt a ring at the shop, see if he can speak to Mark or Russell for you at Giant.
