I generally disregard the some say if they have no actual reason. It's just a mild detergent really. Washing up liquids contain salts generally which can cause a problem on components etc if not all cleaned off.

Been using washing up liquid on carbon, steel, aluminium for over 20 years now with no problems. Always rinse after washing though

Its plastic with a fancy name. Just wash it after riding and stop worrying.

I wouldn't worry about Carbon, we have been using it in boats for years. Left out in the sun all year, frost used in salt water and sand. Put under huge static and shock tensions. Holes drilled all over it. A bit of mic off ain't going to damage anything. That said make sure you wash it off properly or you may affect the finish.
