Just received my canyon strive race in large, and I'm confused how they measure their frames. Did a bit of homework, comparing it to my xl stumpy 29er. On paper the 2 bikes are similar in top tube and reach.
However measuring the strive, I can't see where they get the 648mm top tube measurement, they show it centre of steerer to centre of seat collar measured horizontal, I measure mine at a shade over 600.
Even measured as effective top tube I only get about 630ish.
Other points are they state 460 seat tube, mines 480 however that's a bonus for me.
Getting really picky they spec 170 crank arms, mine are 175.
I did wonder if it was a standard geometry frame and not race but reach and wheelbase seem something like stated.
Anyone got one to measure as I'm confused!
However it does ride well, but taking a bit of getting used too after a 29er.
