Looking at this

http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b65s6p5525/CANNONDALE-SUPERSIX-EVO-RED-DOUBLE-2013

Also been offered a mint 2011 one on cosmic carbone sl for 1500 with full dura ace although might be room for some haggling

Anyone any opinions on these?

I've just bought a 2014 super six 105 model. They're a lovely bike with a very low bottom bracket and incredibly sure footed yet still nimble handling. Try one for size if you can as I henerally feel comfy on 56cm road bikes but needed a 54cm in this one.

I got regular 2013 Supersix & love it. Is the 2011 an Evo (or Hi Mod)? Personally I'd go for new 2013 model. For that price nothing like have a spanking new bike 😉

I got exactly that bike from Paul's in about September last year and so far it's been faultless. Coming from a Planet X Nanolight I was surprised how much the frame seems to absorb imperfections in the road surface and for a race bike it has nicely composed handling and isn't twitchy at all.

Be aware that some have reported short lives from the press fit BB and with the short head tube it may not be the bike for you if you don't like getting low on the bike. Sizing may also be an issue. At 5'10" I usually fit a 56cm. My 54cm is perfect.

The 2013 bike also has 10 speed SRAM Red. Upgrading to 11 speed in the future could be expensive but at least the Mavic hubs are ready for a 11 speed cassette.

I got the Tiagra level bike, stripped it down, replaced with a 105/Ultegra mix, carbon seat post and some decent wheels. It is a bit of a rocket ship.

The inaugural longer ride the other week (85 miles) was completed without any back ache, despite the lower front end.

I am a shade under 6ft 4 and a 58 did me fine.

Love it to bits.

I have a 2012 Supersix with some nicer wheels. Fantastic bike. As pointed out above it's race geometry, not 'sportive' so (this being STW 🙂 )bear that in mind. Very comfortable though, relatively. Handles beautifully, leaps forward under power. Love mine. All else being equal I would go for Dura-Ace over Red, but would go for the newer bike if I was you.

That looks like a good deal (even with the £50 postage!). Given the choice between 2013 10 speed SRAM Red and 2014 11 speed Ultegra I'd go for the Shimano.

Assuming that you fit a 54cm and can live with the baby-blue colour!

I have that bike in the original link, with some FarSport carbon clinchers. It is awesome,
I'd rather have something new for a few extra quid, plus I love SRAM red. Amazing bike for the money mate.

I like the baby blue. And 54 fits me. And I'd rather have Ultegra 11.

Please buy that bike so I dont have to!
