ok ive been around alot of bike shops recently and im seriously finding it very difficult to get hold of 'any womens' specific bikes (just to sit on in the shop and have a good look at the mountain bike itself. the feedback im getting is 'we dont stock hardley any womens bikes relly'- (we are mostly geared up for mens bikes ) !!!! im mean come on, its 2009 and theres more womens cycling these days...what is the problem.. i go on the main websites and find one i want have a look at but the shop cant get it or if they can its 50 quid to draft said bike in just to look at it (i dont get money back unless i buy the bike.
looking at the womens rush cannondale 2009, which is due out any day now... so i rang my local -bike shop up (a well known major shop), and asked if they can get it in for me.... straight away they said No !!! theres not a big demand for 'womens spec' bikes.... what the heck is going on ???? i want a full sus this summer PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...
oh and before anybody says go for a small mans.... my height is only just 5ft, so hence im struggling and abit desperate to find a bike that fits... my current bike is only frame size 13, so size 13 or 14 is the size i need...
does anybody know the head office tel number or email adress for cannondale ? cheers

The frame and fork are the same as on the mens Rush 6. The geometry is the same - 73.5/69 with 22.6 top tube (mens small, though womens has an Xtra small). It only seems to be colour, saddle, stem, grips maybe that are different. If a shop can't change those for you to have a go, it's not good enough. Where are you?, as I'm pretty sure Keswick Mountain bikes would try to help out.

Why would KMB help as they are not a 'Dale dealer?

Wheelbase, Evans or Scotby cover the Lakes.

Fair point.
Hadn't noticed they'd stopped doing them (never was a fan of 'dales)
Sure they had some in the other week....

Unfortunately what the dealers are telling you is kinda true, I've stocked womens Orange Fives in the past and had no interest whatsoever and had to discount them heavily at the end of the year, it just makes financial sense to stock popular models that will sell.

Can't find a UK number, got a euro number though, 00 31 541 589 898, that's the Netherlands in case you were wondering.
