Are there any differences between the frames on a prophet 1 - 4? Because you can pick up a complete prophet 4 on ebay for buttons.

What he said, probably not much now, they've been out of production for 3+ years and didn't have a good reputation for longevity at the time! although that seememd to be more that they'd snap in the first week and if they survived that they were fine.

Good bikes, but not worth much 2nd hand.

Only difference in a Prophet frames is between the normal ones and the MX's. The MX had a downtube gusset so it could handle a 160mm fork and the numbers on the normal ones just meant higher spec wheels, forks and components and rear shock.

Couple of hundred quid at the most I'd guess. Meant to be really good frames though. Keep it, whack a slackset in it and go rip! Be much more fun than a hardtail...

Loved my MX and it was one of the frames I always regretted selling.

between £2-300 maybe a tad more as it has an RP23.
As above the MX, and Prophet X with the extra gussets and ISGN fittings (only the MX had the bolt thru axle), and so go for more money.
Dunno about the longevity comment, have you seen how many there are on ebay? (I have.. watching for that elusive large MX)
This is the issue though, there lots of them about and their perceived as 'old' now.

Just gone back to mine after a repair and love it.

As Davyboywonder say, build it back up and thrash it 😀

Any decision on whether to split or sell complete?

The power of a cheep bike getting 10/10 in MBR, seems like ages ago, but they were sellign for £1099 new with top of the line Pikes and a smattering of XT! Dam inflation!

Why they stopped making them I don't know, they ride superbly on a par with the orange 5 single pivot nice!
