As above really.

I'm looking for a shorter stem for my Cannondale which has a headshox fork, there aren't a huge no. of short stems out there that are designed for a headshox, so will a stem designed for 1.5" steerer forks fit instead?

Easiest way to tell would be to measure the diameter.

Headshok tubes are 1.56" AFAIK. so no, not really.

Although in practice you may be able to squeeze one on if you can open the clamp up a bit.

use a proper lefty one, the 1.5 will not be a good fit

Cheers all, I'm struggling to find a shorter (<100mm) stem that will fit, all the headshox ones on CRC are 100mm+. Also a stem that fits O/S bars would be good as all the flat bars I can find are O/S too.

the hope headshok stem is available in 80 and 90mm sizes but its pretty much double the price of the cannondale ones.
I'm currently using a profile design stiffy stem which i picked up off ebay a while back

A WTD is in the pipeline, I'd spotted a cheap 1.5 stem on CRC so thought I'd explore that avenue first.

Cheers all
