Heading over shortly for first time in ages…can someone who’s been over recently confirm the cost please? Last time I went it was £6, just checked online which seems to say it’s now £8 and coin only, then I saw something about £12! I want to make sure I have enough cash before I set off - cheers
Bump for visibility
8 quid all day. Contactless machines.
Park at Marquis Drive or Rifle Range Corner. It's on the Dog and has a better cafe. Free on road parking.
Is free parking included in with the Permit costs?
Yeah, but I'm a rebel. No permit for me. Eat my dust sukkaz!

This ^ . But, get there early at the weekend, as places are full by 9.30. On Saturdays, when Parkrun is on, get there for 8.30 latest, as it is a huge Parkrun, and they all (try to) park there.
The cafe there is/was £1 cheaper for hot chocolate than Birches Valley. The last few times we've gone as a group, we didn't bother with the cafe, we just went to the Horns pub at Slitting Mill, which was cheaper than both cafes, and far faster service, with nice seats outside, or in in the winter.
Is Marquis Drive not the bit that's even more car breaky inny than the main car park? For that reason I always avoid it.
That and the fact that I believe some of the money from the car park goes to Chase Trails.
To clarify none of the BV car park revenue goes directly to Chase Trails.
It does help support trail budgets though which indirectly helps Chase Trails. Well it would do if we were allowed to work but a few more months of hoop jumping might sort that.
We use the free carpark opposite the campsite entrance. Birches valley has got silly expensive. The new start to the dog was a pleasant surprise
