And has anyone tried it?
I'm building a bike for winter hacks mainly on lanes but with the odd excursion. I know most of my time will be riding with my hands 'up top', but it may be useful to have other options.
What do you think, bad idea?

Yup. Bar diameter will certainly be an issue as well as it looking shit 🙂
