Ok, so Time and Shimano are clearly different.
But I have some new Keo pedals and the cleats look vaguely similar to Shimano? Will my Shimano cleated shoes fit the Keo pedals?
And where do Look fit into all of this?

shimano and look cleats are not interchangable, keo pedals are made by look.

So there is Shimano, Look/Keo, Time and never the 3 shall meet?
Plus obviously anything else like Speedplay.

They are generally not inter-compatible.

The are Look Delta too, predecessors to Keos, still around a bit. But yes, none of them are interchangeable.
