So it's hit me....
Snotty kid, snotty patient, snotty wife...it was inevitable....

Sore throat's gone, now settled with muscle aches and breathlessness...
In fact, I'm panting on my daily commute - I DRIVE!!!!

Rode into town today - felt like a proper beginner on the bike! Completely drained.....

Curse you benign self limiting viruses.....

Hit me on Xmas eve 🙄
I have had the same "bug" every winter for the past 3 or 4yrs. Anything I can do to rid myself?
Would the flu jab prevent this?

It's not flu. Just a poxy cold....

Flu jab wouldn't help.
Staying away from ill people and washing your hands would help.

I'm not partial to either (if the daily mail s anything to go by...)

Bit late now but have a flu jab - I live with a teacher and two kids.. so constantly exposed to viruses... last Winter I had one cold/Flu after another, which ended up as a chest infection.
Had a flu jab a few months back - it seams to be protecting me like a shield of steel..

Wait for the post viral cough to keep you down for another couple of weeks. Had a variety of infections for the past five weeks. Just getting back now. Didn't keep me off the bike, just off the pace. Flu however would keep me in bed (had it too many times).

I think you are in the wrong job if you don't care much for washing.

'twas in jest 😉

I'm also taking the recent 'naked below the waist' policy seriously...
