[Closed] Can I get a GPX file from a Garmin Edge?
...and if so, how?
I've downloaded all the data to the Training Centre software and looked for something obvious such as "export as ..." but this only seems to allow uploading to the GPS itself.
I want it to produce a standalone .gpx file to send to someone.
Any ideas?
I use SportTracks s/w (free) to download data from my Edge. Sporttraks can then export the route data as GPX files.
If you have Tracklogs you can do it from there provided you have the latest patch downloaded.
Open the route in Tracklogs then use 'Save as' and select .gpx
Cheers guys.
Downloaded Sporttracks and it seems a pretty easy process.
go to www.motionbased.com and create an account. You can then create GPX and Google Earth files as well as do some pretty impressive analysis.
Of course!
I've got a MotionBased account but haven't used it for a while because I had to pay to get unlimited uploads.
Sporttracks has done the job for now.
Cheers all.
I've never paid for Motionbased and use it a couple of times a week.
Is it not the case that only your last 10 uploads are visible with the free account?
Something like that...
yep, but I've not much interest in info from 10 rides ago, to be honest.
Use Garmin Connect instead of Motionbased, no limit to number of uploads!
Do a search for TCX file converter, its a handy little program that will convert TCX files to GPX, KML or TRK. You can then just open the files directly from the 705 convert them and save them where you want.
