Need a new stable for my bikes.ย There seem to be a load of different companies online but hard to tell if the quality is any good.ย Has anyone had any success with a decent shed company?ย I'm after a 10ft x 10ft shed/log cabin that is going to stand the test of time, look OK and be relatively secure for my bikes. I hope to store 5 bikes in it, my tools/spares and ideally have room for an armchair so I can escape the madhouse every now and again...
+1 for Tiger sheds. Their amazing TARDIS technology has allowed me to house a complete uplift assisted trail centre in a 5x4m timber outhouse in my back yard.
**** me!!! 49500???
One of my mates is a landscaper, is building his own house extension and is very much into all things wood - he recommends Dunster House, which surprised me. His tip is buy a basic model log cabin type affair and insulate/clad it from the OUTSIDE
I've not used them but heard good things about tuin
TAFKA - that is actually quite an interesting approach. I was going to use white twin wall on the inside with insulation but yeah I can see why adding some insulation and new cladding to the outside would work really well.
I can recommend you avoid any companies set up by the people who ran this company:ย https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08798322
Utterly abysmal quality and not nice to deal with. There was quite a few people after them due to poor quality or not even supplying sheds and they wound up the company.
I just did a quick search and yes it seems that David Richards has set up a new company:ย http://www.nordictimberbuildings.com/
My advice would be to avoid based on my experience with them wit their previous company. Search for my thread to see why.
Just for the avoidance of doubt that is Nordic Timber Buildings inย Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 3LA
I helped put together a Tiger log cabin. Was very impressed at how thick the timbers where and how it went together.
