Check his history and ask him to provide someone to vouch for him.

This is not the way to do it IMO.

Sorry ! I agree it does sound harsh,it's just that I'm about to part with a few hundred quid and suddenly thought I know nothing about this guy and it's not like buying from CRC it's just a private seller.
I seem to remember not long ago there was someone on here selling stuff taking the money and then never sending things out.
That's all it was I didn't mean to upset anybody.
And hopefully there is a few people on here that can vouch for me.

seems a perfectly reasonable request.... though as he's not posted loads (but he been around a while and done some posting, and a couple of classified ad's)), it might be difficult to get a recommendation.

If a seller has nothing to hide then they should have no problem for a buyer to ask for references..... simple as that! if they get up tight about it then there is obv an issue!

Is his name Neil? If so, I might know him.

I know a chap who goes under the name FiveBar, and rides a Singular, put it that way!

I think it's a reasonable request. Who knows, FiveBar may have suggested that Santac posts this. I know that when I'm selling something of significant value, I always tell the purchaser that I am happy for them to ask about me on here if they wish to.

Mick.

Do you really think Manda would get on the back if that useless tosspot was on the front?

FFS he can't even steer his own bike. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I saw him as well - he was usually sitting in a chair chatting. Funny that, as I thought soloists were supposed to spend most of their time riding round the track ๐Ÿ˜€

So Sheldon...its April is it. When are you going public with a date? We need time to plan a European domination.

Oi 'Tollah.

We all know you'd win in the "who's tallest when they're lying down contest"

I bet you're not brave enough to try and insult Manda like that next week in jockland.....
