which sells easiest, a whole bike or frame and bits? whole would be more convenient to me but...
or would ebay be more favourable for a whole bicycle?
Usually bits unless you make the whole bike very cheap.
bits but make sure you shift the frame first as you have the back up of selling whole bike if necessary.
Frames are trickiest to sell too - particularly FS ones.
Take it to bits. Sell brakes, frame, wheels (possibly including tyres), forks, and probaby bars, stem, seatpost and cranks on here.
See what you can get for the rest on ebay as it is less likely to sell here.
Always bits. eBay only if they're very desirable/rare (eg people will bid them up beyond sense) or hard to shift (since ebay has a larger audience than here) since the listing/paypal fees will soon add up.
What is it? Can you send me some pix? ta
I have had success selling complete bikes but they have been pretty well priced. Could have probably got a little more splitting them but didn't want bits left over and the hassle of posting parts all over the place.
