MissusSpyderMan has been kind enough at Christmas to offer me some MTB coaching.ย The first plan was to go and see the Jedi, who seems to have only good things said about him.ย However, I live in France, and it's a bit of an expedition and tricky to find dates since I have 2 small children and a job that means I travel a fair bit anyway.ย I'd also like coaching on my own bike rather than a hire bike, but that just makes things harder still.
During my search for Alpine holidays, I came across CairnMTB who seem to offer 1 on 1 coaching in the Alps in addition to their offer in the UK.ย Does anyone have any experience (particularly the 1 on 1 sessions, but in general too, especially in the Alps).
Would love to do a day with the Jedi, but logistically doing something during our hols in the Alps seems so much easier...
Bump for the daytime crew?ย No-one has any experience to share?
I can't comment specifically on the coaching but I have ridden with Alex whilst he was guiding with The White Room. He is a nice guy and a very good rider. I would have no hesitation in doing some skills training with him.
Hope that helps?
I know many of us have ridden with one of the guys as he guides for The White Room. He is a good rider, I'm sure he'd be a great coach too unsure if he goes tuition during the guiding season. For your first Alps experience I would also suggest The White Room too.
Mrs Hoppy has had coaching from Alex and I've ridden with him at white room. He's a very good rider and from the feedback from my Mrs he translates that across well to his coaching ability, she certainly came back with some good pointers that she has carried across into her general riding.
I thought he did coaching in the UK teaching Alps skills but I've not checked for a while.
Thanks all.ย I'll double check what is available and contact them as I'd like some guiding anyway.
