Anyone running an 11-42T cassette on and Orange 5? Looking to buy a Shimano 11 speed mech to go on a 2017 Five. Medium cage should be fine in terms of capacity, but will it cope with the chain growth of the Five?

Yeah medium is fine. I have a medium SLX mech with a Sunrace 11-42t on the go and there's plenty of movement left in the mech

As above it's fine, the longer cage is for double setups. I have been running my 5 with medium cage 1-speed xt for ages now with no issue. When setting up I just dump the air out of the shock to allow for chain growth
