Looking for some cheap (sub £20) and reliable ones after mullering my inners with a set of wire cutters - DOH!

Can anyone recommend ones which will happily cut inners and outers with ease

Cheers

I use these, used them loads and still razor sharp.

Do you get a clean cut with those?

Can vouch for the halford's ones working but it ain't pretty. Would have prolly gone for the screfix ones if they'd been recommended.

Cheap BBB ones do the job pretty well.

Yes very clean, and for 8 quid you cant go wrong.
Had some bike specific cutters that were nowhere near as good as these

Those screwfix ones - I've got 2 sets. They work great for the first half dozen cables. After that they spread and mash inners. If you build 1/2 bikes a year - great! Bargain. Last 2 years - ime.

If you want something to last and grow old with - go elsewhere. I've got some swiss made ones as a pressie (dunno the name). Or ask what bike shops use.

I have the park tool one but hate it. I have to have it super tight to cut cleanly

I have a set of 14 year old shimano cutter which must get used more than most. Probably among the first bits of kit I bought when setting up the shop; still working perfectly and can be sharpened with a small round file. Awesome piece of kit - I'd be gutted if they got lost. No idea how much they are now..

I don't rate the park one at all.
