[#2474516]

I want to run full length outers front and rear

Can you just swap the unused disc hose guides over and use those instead of the installed cable guides?

There seems to be enough spare ones on the frame

you can under the top tube but only for one run as only 1 spare brake path which is either for the optional rear brake mount or for a remote dropper seat post.

If you want to run full length outers to both you need to drill out the guides. I was going to do this but instead I opted for this kit for £3: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/transfil-gear-cable-waterproof-kit/

If you are using SP41 outers then just extract the lube and use it on the cables where they are in the tubing but tbh the exposed lengths on the C456 are so short and straight there is not much friction to worry about.

I am fitting a full XTR cable kit but using the above so will have plenty of spare shielded end caps over for future builds.

Thanks Andy I thought perhaps the cable guides were bolted on and therefore you could swap them around but having looked at the frame again it seems not - I don't fancy drilling them out

They are rivetted - probably very easy to drill out but I don't fancy it tbh just in case they are bonded too.

I think drilling out refers to opening up the diameter of the stops so that the hose can be fed through? Bonded or not, they shouldn't be affected.

Yes me too but I don't fancy that either on a carbon frame
