Hello everyone, for some time now, i have race bike. At the moment, looking foward get it road legal, i bot all fairings everything what i need to go legal on a road..One small problem, i need to buy frame, like this bike, doesnt has any paperwork, i was using it on a tracks, for a year now..Bike season is almost here, want get on a road with it ASAP :). Thinking to buy frame for US & import it. I do not own a lot of info about all procedures..Maybe someone can share experience, it would be very nice. How big dutys it can be, if i buy frame lest say for 600-800£ + shipping ~150£ ? How does it work, registration procedures with DVLA, using US import frame from US?

You need the frame/chassis number, you then contact the manufacturer who for a small fee will issue you with a document that proves the year of manufacture, you can then apply to DVLA(or VOSA) to register the frame for use in the UK - if you have no frame number they'll give you a 'Q' plate registration.
Duty varies but shouldn't be to bad if described as use part, I'm not sure about the VAT.
