Has anyone combined Maude Moab shoes with Burgtec pedals?
I've been looking for flat riding shoes that are suitable for hike a bike rides. I like the locked in feel of 5.10s but the side breaks if you walk in them too much due to the sole stiffness. In addition the stealth rubber isn't great for walking. The Vaude Moab seems to fit the bill with the combo of vibram with normal grip front and back for walking. The reviews say the only downside is they are less grippy than 5.10s.
I've just bought a pair of Burgtec penthouse flats, had pair years ago and they were the best pedals I ever used. The review says if anything they're too grippy.
What I'm slowly leading up to here is would the uber grippy Burgtecs paired with less grippy Vaude shoes offer the same combined grip as 5.10s and other pedals?
I like the look of those - 5-10s are ridiculously grippy on burgtecs but these might work just as well
