am I insane!?
Yes, but do it anyway. 😀
I have brown grips and brown saddle on my 29er. It looks much better than black. I also think the brown look goes best with silver rims and stem, bars seatpost.
Go for it. Brown saddle (and hoods) on a silver bike:

or on a brown bike (no longer mine, sadly, but):

🙂
Just bought a brown Charge Spoon to go on my (metallic blue) track bike. Refused to stump up £30 for Brooks bartape, so went with "contrast shade" natural coloured cork.

With a few touches of brown/gold elsewhere it looks good
Esp if frame is more natural colours: white, cream, greens
Why not get a Spoon as it's the same saddle design and cheaper I think
it seems brown is getting rather common, try something else, fi'z'ik let you design your own on their web site.
Brown saddles and bar tape grips are so '07. I bet you hall have your hair in ironic mullets too
They're great if you want it to look like you've shat a saddle midride.
Thurman Merman, what you using for a chain guard on the 1x9 kaffenback?
It was a Roox Chaindog. Worked fine but clogged bad in muddy conditions. Better off using an old F-mech, IMHO.
cheers
I thought this was gong to be a post about a scary moment you had in the saddle! 😀
