[#10686198]

Thought I'd treat my bike to some new tyres to replace the stone age Kendas that had been on there for some time. Turns out the maxle in my uturn forks wasn't coming out. Several levels of persuasion over a few hours ended up with the hacksaw solving the issue.

Trouble is it's created another one as now I can't find a replacement.

So 2 questions, is there a replacement available (looks like the maxle lite for 32mm chassis will) or should I upgrade my fork and circumvent the issue?

Now the reason I'm still using a uturn pike is I like tgem and don't have much money so a replacement is likely not going to be any better.

TIA

I'll have a look. I honestly can't remember whether I still have it or not - I'm still running a set on an old Blur 4X, but I had another set that died. Fingers crossed 🙂

Sorry fella, just been through the random boxes of bits in the cellar. I have all sorts of crap including a complete Maverick ML7 rear shock, but no sign of a 20mm Maxle. Evans have them for 45 quid, eek.

If by any remote chance it does turn up, I'll drop you a PM.

Edit: £32 on Amazon, but currently out of stock.

I've got a 20mm maxle from either a set of Pikes or Revelations. It's the same as the one in the Evan's link that BWD has posted.

There are no details written on it but I can send pics if required

Thanks for checking.

Carlos, I'll give that a go bud thanks. If it doesn't fit I'll just buy new forks.

I'm pretty sure that a maxle lite will work- certainly I had a maxle light in my 20mm Rev Teams, which were a later model chassis than your Pikes but were interchangable. The question is whether the 32mm maxle light you see now, is the same one that I had...

Top tip - whenever one of these threads about a stuck maxle crops up on here, and its about every 6 months, pop yours out and give it a light clean and grease.
