Ride your full suss MTB on the road and put a football shin pad on the side of your leg??
If it hurts when riding smooth surface, don't. If sore the day after, rest and gently do more.
Only when I was a kid. Did the tibia too. I was in a cast.
No help though sorry.
Surprised they've not put a cast on it, even if it's not displaced.
I'd try a stationary bike/turbo first I reckon, and wouldn't be going offroad.
i broke my tibia, had metal work and bone graft and was told to not ride for 18 months for the coral to set bone hard etc...#i was riding herts 4 weeks later.
go and see an orthopaedic surgeon ffs
I broke my tibia and a couple of other bones in my ankle in November 2010. Our wonderful NHS missed this when I went to A&E. It was only 4 months later after a referal from my doctor that it was spotted. Doc said 'Bloody hell! That's a right mess. How did they miss that?' Probably explains why it still hurts quite a bit sometimes 14 months later......
broke my tibia & fibula about 16 years ago
9 months in plaster, its fine now, but at the time was very painful
morphine was my friend
