I'm looking for a road club in Bristol after the demise of Das Rad Klub. Just for club rides really, not a racer, but all that seems to appear on google is Bristol South and Bristol Road Club really, is that it? Both seem quite old-fashioned and the club runs seem quite long (70 miles)

Whereabouts in Bristol are you?

There are a few options east of the city, or try this https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/clubfinder

the demise of Das Rad Klub

Can you explain? I assumed they were still going as they just ran an event last weekend.

The Tuesday/Saturday club runs for Das rad club are no more, just a few 'events' type rides across the year

There's Bristol Pegasus. I haven't ridden with them but know quite a few of the members and they're good people.

NBCC for shorter and more relaxed rides: http://www.nb-cc.co.uk/

In the tradition of recommend what you're a member of...Bristol South. Sunday runs are more like 55m and 65m options, and we've started a shorter 35-ish mile group on Sundays too. Chain gang on (summer) Tuesday nights with a pretty big range of groups going out. More trad TT round the lake and almost all the races organised too. Plenty of closet MTBers too once you scratch the surface, and I may try to re-up the Thursday night MTB next year. Fair few of the older bongo-TTers started out on MTBs in the 80s/90s, and you'll probably recognise quite a few people from the Rad Klub.

That said, the Rad Klub do still seem to be riding, just not so time regimented?
