We sell lots of red Fox Attack Q4 but never really bold jerseys. Loads of bold road jerseys but only ever black bibshorts.

If you've got the skills then why not? Actually even if you don't have the skills then as long as you're happy, who gives a stuff?

Not an age thing either so ... go on Buzz!

Does white count as bright?

Occasionally I can also be seen sporting the coolest (temperature wise) shorts ever. Only in private on the hill, never the pub - or next to mrs_oab.

White doesn't count. More worryingly: someone seems to have glued your bike to a rock face.

Remember, It's all about looking Good........

I've ordered a Tennis Ball Yeller SC frame so i reckon i need some matching shorts,
Bright seems to be in ? the HOWIES Dyfi Jacket sold out in a day or so in Orange, As long as its not Toight and Lycra then i reckon you could get away with pretty much anything,

*Except Dirty white ones ?

All the bike shops that I visit have loads of choice in shorts for men, whilst us women are lucky to have a choice between a couple of almost identical styles, invariably black, with ridiculously flappy legs so you look like a schoolboy wearing his big brother's shorts! Oh, and a choice between jerseys in various shades of pink or purple!!

Poc blue flow shorts are quite nice for a change,

[img] [/img]

team them up with my Howies orange Dyfi jacket and i'll look like a poster paint spillage in a nursery.

I still prefer black kit though as it doesn't show up marks, mud etc and i can wear it a fair number of times before having to worry bout washing them.

Folk should wear what coloursthey want but remember the lyrics of the Divine Comedy song -

But it's hard to get by when your arse is the size
Of a small country
And everybody sings "ba ba ba da..."

I really fancy some Olive Green Royal Signature shorts, but I'm always put off by the pricing of 'fashionable' mountain bike clothing.

Goodness me, those Haglofs ones are eye wateringly expensive, i've had one of their spritz jackets and the tapes are peeling off the seams, how do the Royals compare on price ?

I'm guessing this is so you can match your bike? 😀

Those TLD ones I was sporting in Spain were great. The mud never comes out though. You'd better enjoy the first time you wear them because they'll never be that clean again.

Had a stack on a muddy day the day after Spain here, and it now looks like I have pooped myself when I wear them! Don't do it man. Unless you can get them real cheap.

By the way, trying to convince the missus to do the GWR sportive. Maybe I will see you guys for that ride soon!

It's good to see a bit of colour, rather than the usual grey/black enduro sheep..

Thought you did that on the Elephants Tail?

I don't bother with bike specific baggies. They're too expensive. Just bib shorts under whatever other shorts I have. Surfing board shorts are very similar and much cheaper and a far greater range of colours and designs, or even swim shorts.

Ha! Did not! But I have purchased a brown pair of Sombrios for the return trip next year! Plan is to actually let go of the brakes this time.

Ha! I managed to matching green stans stickers for my wheels. They look so much better than the clashing red ones. What a tart!

Those blue shorts will clash wonderfully with the lumo green frame. Yeah baby! Don't think I can pull off the yellow or green though they suited you Dana.

BTW: would you email me Dana? My email address is in my profile.

I have some of those horrible turquoise Scott shorts (and matching gloves) that were on a cheapo PSA on here a bit ago - quite like them though they do look daft.

Considered getting one of these helmets too.

Pretty cheap here - http://www.fatbirds.co.uk/459667/products/giro-feature-highlight-yellow---bright-green-mtb-helmet.aspx
