Bennerley Viaduct - now owned by Sustrans, who seem at a bit of a loss what to do with it!

Victoria Viaduct, can be ridden under or over. Over is a bit of a pig though as it has all the ballast from the rail line still in place.

Hylton Viaduct

[img] [/img]

QA Bridge

[img] [/img]

Wearmouth Bridge

[img] [/img]

There's other little footbridges but these are the usual suspects.

Loves this post. Did a ride about 10 years ago from Leeds to Ilkley taking in all the bridges and viaducts we could think of, great day.

Will have to dig out the film and scan it one day.

Essex bridge near Shugborough. Great little cafe on the canal next to it too.

It's not a bridge, it's an entrance to what was part of the country estate with a lake beside it and it's not local to me either. I both walked and cycled through it, gorgeous landmark in a lovely part of England.

Need to be quite far away to get all of said bridge in frame. Often go across on my road bike, as the riding on the south bank is lovely. If you listen carefully you can sometimes make out the faint sound of banjo's, drifting across the river ๐Ÿ™‚

We need to include this one on one of our summer mnpr rides. Not far from the second one you posted HtS
[img] [/img]

These are mainly from where I go running, although there is a little bit of riding round there too.

Yes, that's the one. I love clapper bridges.

Someone has somehow taken a chunk out of this one. Hopefully I won't end up in the beck next time I try to ride it.

Ribblehed viaduct eh ?
Spent possibly the most uncomfortable night in a tent about 50 metres from the north eastern corner of that in 1975, touring the Dales with a mate on 5 speed steel framed bikes. I think My mates was a Raleigh and mine had come from Currys, of all places, it had been a present for passing my 11 plus. We were 15 when we did that trip, in the days when it was safe to play out !
Home was 200 odd miles away and we had taken the bikes by train to Settle. Great times.

Climbed up on this one a couple of times as a kid. All fenced off now! Used to be part of a viaduct across Stour Meadows, Blandford, on the Somerset and Dorset Railway.

[img] [/img]

Also used to be quite interested in that 'test' bridge on the fireroad climb at Glentress, the Stress Laminated Timber Arch Bridge.

I occasionally ride over the Orwell

We were up there around bonfire night and were higher than some of the fireworks that the local scrotes were setting off, which looked quite impressive.
