[#2023021]

Off to Brechfa on the weekend with a bunch of mates. I've only ever done the black route but I've heard you can loop the red and black together? Anyone done this, how long does it take?

We probably won't get there until lunchtime so wondering where best to start to keep our options open.

The Red took me almost exactly the same time to ride as the Black, about 1hr 30. If you pick up the link half way around the black I think there's just a short section of fireroad which dumps you on to the last descent of the Red - It think! I've not linked them but I suspect you should be able to do it in 4 hours easily. The other option is to ride the Black then just ride up the road to Abergorlech and do the red. Could also be a convinient nosh stop!

We always start with the red the do the black before the top of the final red decent, 4h ish with minimal stops.

Just over 3 hrs here, but anything over 4 is easily done if it gets quite 'social'

Tidy, 4 hours sounds fine. Staying at Afan in the evening so just wanted to know we'd have enough time to finish both before it got dark and drive back - sounds like it'll be plenty.

Thanks all.
