I'm in much the same boat - my Cube looks like it's been attacked by an over-excited child wielding a sticker gun. On full auto.
I'd prefer something a bit subtler, but it rides nice so I'm not too fussed.

I think you should embrace the XR3i look. Buy a crud catcher, but mount it sideways to the back of the saddle like some badass spoiler. Then maybe customise some Reebok Classics by inserting some SPD cleats in the bottom, and write 'Technics' on the back of your waterproof jacket in silver pen.

If you had a "good bike" it would have no branding, no one would have ever heared of it, and most "special" people on this forum would post "nice" leaving only IT middle managers only able to order it ,and left to talk about riding it during their lunch break with posts about it when they are at work.
