[Closed] Front Juicy 5 constantly rubbing with 203mm rotor

Any ideas why? It's fine with the 160mm Avid rotor with an occasional bit of rub, but with a 203mm Hope rotor it's rubbing/dragging all the time. I can see this being a big problem for longer/faster runs as it would add unnecessary heat build up? It feels a bit "fluttery" if that makes sense. I thought that the flutter may have been caused by the rotor being too "deep" into the pads and making them catch on the non-braking surface. Added some spacers to move it further away from the adapter which haven't really helped. Oh and the brake doesn't work as well as it did with the 160mm rotor..

I've tried pushing the pads back out, endless adjusting of cps bolts, setting the alignment by eye etc. None seem to have helped much. Getting really annoying, I hate rubbing discs! They are old pads so maybe they're just worn to the old disc size, should I have a go with some new ones?

Unlikey that the rotor is anywhere near as flat as your 160mm. Might be a tiny amount of tolerance but will make a difference.

Mine is the sme set up as yours and is remarkably run free. i use the quick and simple way of setting it up. Loosen the bolts that clamp the caliper to the mount. Squeeze trhe brake hard and whilst its still on tighten the bolts. Works every time. Otherwise is the disc a touch thicker than the old one. Try new pads anyway as its likely that they have a less than flat profile and a high point is touching.
