Quick question.

Got the chance of a brand new pair of Rebas, in box, manual etc or a used good condition Fox F100 RL forks for £180, just XC use mainly.

Is it common sense to go for the new Reba's ?

I would never buy used Fox. I'd think thrice about buying new Fox.

Just for a change I'd go fox. My bike was secondhand with fox forks, they have been faultless.

New is new and the Reba is a great fork

As for light XC use I doubt anyone will ever say thrashed to within a micron of stanchion wear and unserviced ....is it from a mate?

Both my Fox forks have required new seals where as the Rockshock have just needed oil changes

No,not from a mate.
Both are from adverts found in various places.
Been offered Reba's used from & £150 to £200 but this one set of 2012 ones
for £180 new in box.

Like the look of Fox's but read loads of reports about serious stanchion wear
If you do not service them every few rides which Fox apparently recommends.

Was trying for Fox but the more I read and hear about them is swaying me more towards
the Rebas.

Mind you I have probably mucked about that long they will be gone !!!

Fox need more care IME but it is a 30 min job so not adeal breaker if you can be arsed doing regular service

Due to having many bikes that is once to twice a year for me
If just one bike I would [ according to FOX] need to do them about twice a month - is it every 15 hours or so.

When Fox say 'service' every 15 hours do the mean seals, oil etc or just a clean of the seals etc
