Hi all,
Brand new Fox Talas CTD 34. When you bounce up and down on the fork, compressing it quickly, it makes a high pitched squeak, somewhere in a duck quacking and a kitten meowing...
Odd thing is, it only does it in Climb mode, it's fine in Descend and Trail. So this suggests it's not the seals, but something internal.
Any thoughts? Shop hadn't come across it before, and will ring up Mojo if I don't get it figured out.
So, anyone come across this before? Solutions?
Ta, Duane.
Climb is just a load of compression damping so You're just forcing fluid through smaller valves which is causing the noise. When you really smash it it'll do it in Trail mode too.
You'll never descend in Climb mode. In fact it's a useless mode unless you mash gears up climbs on the road I wouldn't worry about it.
CTD is a load of old crap IMO.
