[#4997594]

Hi all
After some new brakes to replace my Elixir R's.
Been looking at Avid trail or Shimano Saint/Zee?
Think saint are a bit OTT really.
Anyone use SLX brakes? They look awesome value and good reviews
Ride around Calderdale with trips to Alps and Scotland every year
Dont want Hope though
Cheers all

I have Shimano xt brakes and they are great, better than the m4 I had before and from rose you can get a pair for about £120 which is a great deal.

Any one used zee brakes? Does anyone know If you can mount them onto the ispec XT shifters?

Used SLX and XT brakes. My SLX rear developed a leak at he resevoir, and was sent back to Tweeks, they replaced it immediately under warranty.

No noticeable difference in power/feel between XT and SLX in my opinion. Either are a great brake with loads of power.

Call me pedantic, but its the shifters that mount to the brakes, not the other way round. And as the Zee levers are identical to SLX ones just painted a different colour, then I'd say you'd have no problem mounting an I-Spec shifter to them.
