Currently running Avid Elixir 5s on my bike, but the front has seized, been serviced and is still rubbish. The back is now doing the same. What replacements would you suggest?
Saints? XT? Zee? Formula?

Hope M4, never let me down in the Lakes Alps and general trail duty, easy to service repair & pimp up, pads last ages.

Hope everytime ๐Ÿ™‚ an issues and you can get spares - lakes rock and alps does funny things to the levers some times ๐Ÿ™‚

Also match the new Hope rotors for the better performance as the depth is right on them. Been using the Tech M4 (before evo) on my heckler for identical duties weighing in at too heavy so power not a problem and more control than the shimano (from my experience)

My Hope M4 have been v reliable but my Slx 666 make them seem weak.

By that I mean initial bite and only time will tell if they are as reliable. My Hopes are 7yrs old and have had one rebuild and that was because I thought it was due. They worked fine, I just felt they were a bit draggy.

I'd stick Formula The Ones on it, Alpine deserves nothing less.

Something with 'shimano' written on it; doesn't matter which model, slx, xt, xtr.. They're all good
