I'm fitting some 2014 Formula C1 brakes to my old bike and need some IS>Post-Mount adapters. Looking on ChainReaction, the Formula ones are twice the cost of Shimano for what appears to be the same piece of metal with a different name printed on it.

Do I really need the Formula adapters for it to fit properly?

You might need to shave a bit off the inside of the Shimano adapter for it to fit, but you might not..
As long as you don't mind a bit of a potential shave then it'll be fine, I've done it in the past and I'm pretty sure I'm still alive..
I've got some Uberbike adapters on some Formula Oro Biancos and they fit fine..

I have a fair few Formula adaptors in my spares box, email me with what you need if you're interested in secondhand.
