So, unfortunately my Rallon has not arrived in time for my trip to BPW next week. Good thing is, when it does arrive it makes a great excuse to head up again to Wales!

Having to hire instead, is it worth upgrading from the Slash 7 to the 9 for the few days I am there? Only £20 difference in the hire price over the time I will be there.

Looked at this for a mate.
Doesn't the 7 have no dropper ?
For that alone I'd pay the extra.

Oh, didn't even look at that. Doh!

Sold on the 9 if the 7 doesn't have a dropper!

Why would you need a dropper for riding downhill all day? I'd be looking at the difference in suspension and brakes

It's not fully downhill. There are some albeit short ups. Depends how you ride but I think it's ideal terrain for a dropper. Sitting down every so often might also save your legs enough for one more run so worth it for that alone.

I've been for a weekend. made the poor choice of taking the DH bike, but it wasn't a dropper that I missed

I quite like the climbs, so a dropper for that would be good, plus on my old bike I used it loads. I must admit, I have probably just got too use to it being there, and not to have one would be one of those little things that would bug me.
