Any issues?
Got one sat here ready to be fitted - it solves my need for a 150mm, 30.9 - but I'm worried I'll run into issues and knacker tomorrow's ride. Video looks simple enough but worried about fate.....

Expensive, untested & the first review on Pinkbike, it broke, but it was the old classic of 'pre-production, working on a fix, yadda, yadda'.

One thing, you're brave - when the Lev is available in that size/setup you want.

Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course, they all fail at some point.

I'm just a cynic though. A prominent review post fails & lets face it, Raceface & Easton hardly have the best of reputations when it comes to moving parts.

doent it use the internals from the 9point8 seatpost? if so it should be more reliable than a reverb, lev and Thompson posts. personally I would just buy the 9point8 product as the seat clamp is a better design imo. they look dead easy to service too.

I couldn't find a 9point8 seatpost in the uk, so that's why I went for the Raceface one. Can't put my finger on it but not sure about the KS one, although I can see that being what the OH buys as his 27.2 option.

Nobeer - probably heading to Ae for some of the Enduro trails and mix it up with a bit of omega man. You're very welcome to join us if you're free.

I put one on when I built my new bike, as I liked the idea of a 150mm drop in a 30.9 post, but didn't want a reverb (hate the lever)
It's only been on a few months, but so far it's been really good. No stiction, knocking or up and down play like a reverb gives.
Only tip I have for set up is that it's worth putting a load of lube in the cable. The cable supplied isn't top grade, but with a bunch of chain lube it slides pretty well.

Yeah, it's not the cheapest, but it works really well. The lever is ok, but the hop up lever they've got on the way looks good. Will get one as soon as they arrive...

I'd go for the 9point8 rather than one rebadged for raceface

Pine tree - cheers, just what I needed to hear.

Limbers, I couldn't find a 9point8 one in the uk. I think the distributors for them have only just been agreed and it will be a while before they have stock.

I've got one on my new build, so far so good. I figured they all break anyway so may as well try this to see if it breaks less! Previous KS lev was far from faultless and I like the way the 9point8/Easton/race face ones work.

When you install it just makes sure and follow the instructions when your clamping the cable - tighten each side evenly. If you leave one grub screw sticking out by the tiniest amount then it will stop you being able to insert the 'quick release' bit far enough into the post for the threads to engage. It'll spin and you'll think you've stripped the threads. Only worked out what I did when I read the pink bike review of the 9point8 version and he'd done exactly the same thing.

Ae was running sweet today, enjoy.

Cheers bloodsexmagik - it's all fitted now and working fine. Wee bit of faff getting the cable to the right length and it's still a wee bit long now but I'm not taking apart for the third time to get it right. That but will need to wait until after tomorrow.

My seatpost collar is now only sticking out by about 1.5 inches so hopefully that'll make the difference I'm looking for. It looks OK as well.

Any snow at Ae today?
