Has anyone got experience of both at all? Or just thoughts on either? The BOS has that rarer exotic factor, the CCDB is surely ahead by virtue of it's reputation. Both would end up costing a similar amount, so what would you recommend for a new frame?

The Kirk is amazing on the Rallon. I wouldn't consider anything else. I have the CCDb on the other bike but no direct comparison as they are very different frames. The Kirk suits the rallon perfectly, a good bit of high speed compression and it really works. I wrote a review on the rallon which talked a bit about the shock, on phone in the van just now so can't link. Great bike!

Oh, fwiw, me and my guides are running bos kirks. A full year of guiding and no issues. We haven't even serviced them!

Sounds promising. I'm going for base model, i have my oen pikes to go on and some other bits. Orbeas upgrade options get quite expensive , e.g. £345 for a reverb plus cost of the alloy one it'd replace, hence i want to do my own upgrades.

Going into the shop shortly 🙂

It'd be easier to go bos rather than selling the fox shock that comes with it and looking for a ccdb
