For the ratchet 240/350 type hubs looks like you can get either a standard alloy or a steel hybrid XD freehub. I can see the benefit for HG to prevent cassette gouging, is there any benefit on XD though, issues with the alloy ones cracking, threads stripping or anything like that? This is for a full power ebike. Plenty of lightly used standard ones around, hybrid not so much

On a normal bike there is no benefit.
