Both good, depends on your style of riding really, 717 more xc and best with tyres less than 2.2 wide, 719 more trail/AM okay with wider tyres.

I looked at crest (i guess my riding is XC and maybe a bit AM, although my bike is definitely an XC bike - titanium hardtail). the only thing is that the crest are 78 euros on wiggle and mavics are more like 52 euros.

how do the olympic compare with the mavic 717 or 719 ?

I can't find the olympics on the notube website.

I've never tried Stans. I don't like the idea of no spoke eyelets.

I've both 719s and 717s. They're both light, strong and versatile. I have damaged a couple of 717s though and I'm not heavy nor a hard rider.

Olympic is their frist generation rim. Recently replaced with the crest, hence the price. Think they weigh in around 360/370 grms.
